RESOURCES: INTERNET
WORKSTATIONS - Children can explore the web starting with sites
selected by the library for homework help, popular interest, and games. CD-ROM COMPUTERS - Games, stories, activities, and learning tools
are available. KID'S CATALOG - Children can find books by pointing and clicking
on buttons with pictures and letters. ONLINE RESOURCES - EBSCOhost Magazine Index, New Book of Knowledge,
Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, and the library catalog. SOME
COMPUTERS REQUIRE APPOINTMENTS. Preschool storytimes are
programs designed for specific age groups. For four weeks in a row,
preschoolers and an accompanying adult attend a storytime that is a
combination of stories, songs, action rhymes and crafts. TIME
FOR TWOS and TIME
FOR THREES
are
offered twice a year at the Main Library and each branch. PRESCHOOL
STORYTIME is designed for three to five-year-old children
and an accompanying adult and is offered at various times during the year,
including evenings. PRESCHOOL CRAFT
PROGRAMS provide young children and their care-givers
with the opportunity for artistic expression and are often related to the
holidays or seasons. SCHOOL-AGE
CRAFT PROGRAMS for children in
kindergarten through grade seven, provide children with the opportunity
for more advanced artistic expression. Programs are often based on seasonal holidays or activities. SPECIAL EVENTS, which can include author visits, puppet shows, musicians, storytellers, magicians, creative
dramatics, clowns and guest speakers, are offered periodically and
are often funded by the Friends of the Libraries of
Woodbridge Township. This club is our annual
extravaganza for preschoolers and school-age children. The Club consists of activities done at
home and at the library. Children join reading teams and
fill out reading logs at the library, recording the amount of time they
spend reading or listening at home. Weekly programs are also
offered.
