Preschool storytimes are
programs designed for specific age groups. For four weeks in a row,
preschoolers and an accompanying adult attend a storytime that is a
combination of stories, songs, action rhymes and crafts. TIME
FOR TWOS and TIME
FOR THREES
are
offered twice a year at the Main Library and each branch. PRESCHOOL
STORYTIME is designed for three to five-year-old children
and an accompanying adult and is offered at various times during the year,
including evenings. PRESCHOOL CRAFT
PROGRAMS provide young children and their care-givers
with the opportunity for artistic expression and are often related to the
holidays or seasons. SCHOOL-AGE
CRAFT PROGRAMS for children in
kindergarten through grade seven provide children with the opportunity
for more advanced artistic expression. Programs are often based on seasonal holidays or activities. SPECIAL EVENTS, which can include author visits, puppet shows, musicians, storytellers, magicians, creative
dramatics, clowns and guest speakers, are offered periodically and
are often funded by the Friends of the Libraries of
Woodbridge Township. This club is our annual extravaganza for preschoolers and school-age children. The Club consists of activities done at home and at the library. Children join reading teams and fill out reading logs at the library, recording the amount of time they spend reading or listening at home. Weekly programs are also offered. |
