How do I find a newspaper or magazine?
The Woodbridge Library carries over 500 titles, which include some academic and trade journals as well as popular magazines and newspapers. The collection is supported by periodical indexes in paper and online formats.
The Periodicals Department at the Main Library has extensive retrospective holdings on microfilm for many titles, including the New York Times back to 1851, the Home News & Tribune to 1967, Time to 1938 and National Geographic to 1910. The Department has microfilm reader-printers, including two in digital format. The Department also houses some local area newspapers dating back to the 1920s/1930s and some high school yearbooks. The Department can be reached at ext. 7160.
The Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin Branches have select collections of magazines. All agencies have a collection of circulating magazines with a loan period of two weeks.
