Vaccinations & Tags

It is important to license your pet. Licensing your pet ensures that your pet has a current rabies vaccination and provides peace of mind that other pets in the community are also protected against this fatal disease. When licensing your pet you are provided a sturdy metal tag to attach to your pets collar. This tag, when placed on the collar, will provide quick identification of your pet and ensure its quick return to your family if it ever happens to get lost.

The Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center is taking in more cats that ever before. It's has become more important then ever that cat owners license their pets before they reach seven months of age. A license tag properly attached to your pet's collar can readily identify the pet as yours and get your pet home safely and quickly. All cats must have a current rabies vaccination to be licensed, which protects your cat, as well as other animals and people, from acquiring this potentially fatal disease. If your cat is spayed or neutered, it will cost less to license .Cats are $13.00 and non spay is $23.00. Cats that are spayed will generally be calmer and roam less and, of course, will not add to the current over population of cats. If your cat is not licensed, please call the Woodbridge Health Department at 732-855-0600, ext. 5004 for more information.
