Attention Gardeners: Learn All About Hydroponic Growing & Explore the Seed Library
The Woodbridge Township Environmental Commission invites gardeners to explore the Seed Library and learn all about growing hydroponic plants on March 2, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Fords Branch Library (211 Ford Avenue). This year, the Commission will present a program on “Hydroponic Growing” - which is a proven European system of growing plants without soil and “Biophilia” which means everyone is connected to nature and the benefits that plants can have on your health. The program, presented by Arlene Macallister owner of Creative Hydroponics, will instruct the home gardener on the step-by-step instructions on how to grow hydroponic plants and how to transplant plants into hydroponics - Hydroponic plants are hypo-allergenic, clean, healthier, and have less insects and disease. The seed library will be restocked with a wide variety of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds available FREE of cost. The Seed library operates on the honor system (no library card is required) and is open during regular library hours. Email the Woodbridge Environmental Commission at wbenvironmentalcommission@gmail.com for more information.
