Celebrate Senior Month with Special Events & Programs!!!

May is “Senior Month” in Woodbridge Township!!! This year, we’re jam-packed with informative, educational, recreational and entertainment activities specially geared to our Senior residents. "Senior Month” encourages Seniors to engage in health and fitness activities, attend informative programs and seminars, participate in mind-stimulating activities such as Rummikub and Sudoku competitions, art and music classes, entertainment events, senior receptions and community engagements

The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services, the Multi-Service Program on Aging & Senior Services, the Department of Recreation & Resident Services, the Woodbridge Police Department, the Department of Public Works, the Evergreen Senior Center and the Sycamore Senior Center, the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), the Woodbridge Township Public Library, and many senior organizations and associations participate and sponsor the many free programs and events, educational and informational sessions. Woodbridge Community Choir Spring Concert Performs on May 5

The Woodbridge Community Choir will conduct its first concert of the season with a rousing Spring Concert on Fri., May 5... Woodbridge Community Players Announce Ensemble Auditions for West Side Story... Sat., May 6 @ The Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School

The Woodbridge Community Players (WCP) – our very own summer stock theatre group of local actors and actresses – are looking for talent!!! Ensemble auditions for the cast of West Side Story are scheduled for Sat., May 6, 2017 at 9:00 AM at the Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School. WCP Needs Patrons: The work of the WCP does not end with the final curtain call for “West Side Story” in July!!! What many theatre-goers may not realize is how costly a stage production can be - just the rights to a play or Broadway musical show can run more than $5,000 - add to that, costs for lighting, sound, scenery, costumes and props, and you’ll understand why the WCP needs your help to produce shows the entire community can be proud of. Woodbridge “Support Our Troops” Rally Kicks-Off on Wed., May 17

The families of military personnel serving overseas will gather to honor Woodbridge-area troops serving in outposts across the globe at the annual "Support Our Troops" rally on Wed., May 17, 2017. "Support Our Troops" not only recognizes and honors active-duty military serving our country, but the past service and heroic contributions of Woodbridge Township veterans. The Rally will be held at the Veterans Monument, George Frederick Plaza (between the Woodbridge Main Library and Woodbridge High School) at 6:00 PM.

The annual Spring Clean-Up & Bulk Waste curbside collection program is now easier and more convenient than ever - instead of the complicated curbside pick-up schedule that ran from April through June, we’re now offering every residential household a ONE-TIME PER YEAR FREE BULK WASTE PICK-UP. The revised bulk waste collection program is more convenient for resident homeowners and allows the Department of Public Works to better manage bulk waste collection. All you need to do is call the Department of Public Works Sanitation Office at: 732-738-1311 x3600 – the staff will provide the details about the ONE-TIME PER YEAR FREE BULK WASTE PICK-UP and get you on the schedule.
