Mayor’s Summer Concerts… On Stage This Week…

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series returns to the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park at 6:00 PM on Sunday (July 14) with Cash is King. Stan Zizka’s Del Satins revive their Golden Oldies favorites on Monday (July 15) and Starman (David Bowie Tribute) return for Tribute Tuesday on Tuesday (July 16)... both concerts are LIVE on-stage at 7:30PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School.

Woodbridge Wednesday hosts The Duke Robillard Band on Wednesday (July 17) at 7:30 PM on the Parker Press stage and Local Band Thursday returns with 9 South on Thursday (July 18) at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends! The cost of admission to a Mayor’s Summer Concert is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank. AVENEL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Avenel Performing Arts Center (APAC) - the region’s newest performing arts center designed for theatre, stage productions and special performances – has rolled-out the Red Carpet and is welcoming theatre-goers with the very best entertainment venue in Central Jersey. The APAC, located at 150 Avenel Street, is a multi-disciplinary performing arts center located in Avenel (Woodbridge Township). Managed by the Woodbridge Arts Alliance (WAA), the APAC promises to energize Avenel and surrounding communities by programming exceptional, professional theatre, music, comedy, dance and more. The APAC features seating for 200 patrons, a separate performance room and pre-function lobby area that opens to exterior space for larger gatherings and events. APAC also features Curtains Restaurant – a stand-alone dining destination available for catered pre-performance and special events.

Shop the Barron Arts Center Flea Market on Saturday

The Barron Arts Center will host their annual outdoor Flea Market on Saturday (July 13) from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Parker Press Park (400 Rahway Avenue.) Explore the vendors and get great deals on toys, books, household items and much more! Food sales will also be available the day of the flea market to support The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission as well as the free programming at The Barron Arts Center throughout the year.

Bat Walk at the Oros Wildlife Preserve on Saturday

“Walk the Woodbridge Wild” at the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Saturday (July 13). The Oros Wildlife Preserve is home to at least nine species of bats… Explore the Wildlife Preserve as the light fades to dusk and watch bats hunt insects using echolocation and learn about their unique ecology. Tour leaves from the Oros Wildlife Preserve Gazebo at 8:00 PM. The Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve is located at Omar Avenue in Avenel. Register by email or phone to secure a space on the tour. The Woodbridge Farmers’ Market is OPEN every Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:30 PM at Parker Press Park. CABARET is set in a Berlin nightclub as the 1920’s draw to a close – the garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the CABARET. CABARET explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer arrives in Berlin and is immediately taken by English singer Sally Bowles. It’s All Happening at The Club

The Club at Woodbridge is now part of the Woodbridge Township Recreation Family – and we’re offering an incredible menu of health, wellness, fitness and entertainment programs, events and happenings to members and guests!!! The Club is the perfect complement to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) right across Main Street. Both facilities have a pool, running track, cardio rooms, weight rooms, concession areas and child care functions. Both run summer camps for kids and personal training and other amenities.
