WPL offers all library card holders continued access to the Star-Ledger through our online resources in the Woodbridge Public Digital Library. You can even continue reading the paper in the same layout you're used to!
Follow the directions below to read the Star-Ledger at home or in the library. If you're in the library, you don't even need a library card: just being present gives you access!
How to Read the Star-Ledger with your library card
From the “Online Info & Articles” page in the Woodbridge Public Digital Library click on the Newspaper category or type “Star-Ledger” into the Filter by Name bar. Then click on the Star-Ledger name or icon to enter the database. If you’re outside the library you will need to enter your library card number and PIN.
In the Star Ledger Collection, you will see three options. Use the line that says “Star-Ledger, The (Newark, NJ)” under Source Name and “Image” under Format to read the newspaper in the same format it was in when published in print. Use the line that says “Star-Ledger, The (Newark, NJ)” under Source Name and “Text” under Format to read the articles of the main news and sports sections of the paper as regular text. Use the line that says “Star-Ledger, The: Web Edition Articles (Newark, NJ)” under Source Name and “Text” under Format to read articles from the Star-Ledger published on the web only.
| Once you've selected your format, choose the date of the issue or articles. You can choose the most recent issues right at the top of the page in the "View Recent Issues" list, or choose older dates from the months below. | |
