Teacher loan cards can be issued to a Woodbridge resident or nonresident who teaches in any preschool through 12th grade public or private school located within Woodbridge Township. The teacher must present a letter to the library from the school principal or school system administration on school system letterhead stationery or present a school pay stub confirming the teacher's employment.
Teachers are given specially labeled and bar-coded teacher loan cards for use at all agencies for borrowing only print materials for their classroom use. This library card does not apply to interlibrary loan (ILL) policies, which are governed by libraries outside Woodbridge Township, but will be honored in Woodbridge Public Library. No personal library materials may be borrowed on the cards.
Items are automatically renewed twice. Additional renewals require the consultation of a librarian.
As is the practice of academic libraries, books may be recalled for another borrower after the first due date has passed or if it is needed for multiple classes.
Teacher loan cards expire on August 31st each year and must be renewed annually.
Charges for fines and lost items are waived for materials borrowed on a teacher loan card.
Loans are subject to the approval of the children's librarian, branch manager or coordinator in charge of the collection.
